Estimation of Stress-Strength Reliability Model Using Finite Mixture of Two Parameter Lindley Distributions

چکیده
Abstact:The term “stressstrength reliability” when it appears in statistical literature typically refers to the quantityP(X > Y), where a system with random strength X is subjected to a random strength Y such that a system fails, if the stress exceeds the strength. Stress –Strength reliability is considered in this paper where the strength follows finite mixture of two parameter Lindley distribution and stress follows exponential, Lindley distribution and mixture of two parameter Lindley distribution. The general expressions for the reliabilities of a system are obtained. Estimates of parameters are obtained by maximum likelihood estimation method. For different values of stress and strength parameters, reliability has been obtained. Special cases are also discussed.

Sequential-Based Approach for Estimating the Stress-Strength Reliability Parameter for Exponential Distribution
In this paper, two-stage and purely sequential estimation procedures are considered to construct fixed-width confidence intervals for the reliability parameter under the stress-strength model when the stress and strength are independent exponential random variables with different scale parameters. The exact distribution of the stopping rule under the purely sequential procedure is approximated ...

‎Abstract: In this paper, a new mixture modelling using the normal mean-variance mixture of Lindley (NMVL) distribution has been considered. The proposed model is heavy-tailed and multimodal and can be used in dealing with asymmetric data in various theoretic and applied problems. We present a feasible computationally analytical EM algorithm for computing the maximum likelihood estimates. T...
متن کاملInferences on stress-strength reliability from weighted Lindley distributions
This paper deals with the estimation of the stress-strength parameter R = P (Y < X), when X and Y are two independent weighted Lindley random variables with a common shape parameter. The MLEs can be obtained by maximizing the profile loglikelihood function in one dimension. The asymptotic distribution of the MLEs are also obtained, and they have been used to construct the asymptotic confidence ...
متن کاملThe Exponentiated Poisson-Lindley Distribution; Features and Applications in Reliability
Abstract. In this paper a new three-parameter lifetime distribution named “the Exponentialed Lindley-Poisson (E-LP) distribution” has been suggested that it has an increasing, decreasing and invers bathtube hazard rate depending on the parameter values. The (E-LP) distribution has applications in economics, actuarial modeling, reliability modeling, lifetime and queuing problems and biological ...

This paper deals with the estimation of the stress-strength parameter R = P (Y < X) when X and Y are independent Lindley random variables with different shape parameters. The uniformly minimum variance unbiased estimator has explicit expression, however, its exact or asymptotic distribution is very difficult to obtain. The maximum likelihood estimator of the unknown parameter can also be obtain...
